Freeze Dried Mangoes vs. Kirkland Dried Mangoes
Dried fruit is typically a popular snack for it's portability and sweetness. I was asked to compare Thrive Mangoes to the dried mangoes that are typically found at Costco.
The big difference between these 2 types of mangoes are the GMO status, amount of sugar, sodium and vitamins. Shelf life is also a huge difference, where Thrive sealed cans last 25 years.
I know for a fact that Thrive food also retains 96% of it's nutrient.... dried food retains about 80%, but I couldn't find any official documentation specifically relating to Philippine mangoes.
The Philippine brand dried mangoes are better than most other dried fruits since they do not contain any preservatives, as most dried fruit do......sulfur dioxide, a type of sulfite, can induce asthma when inhaled or ingested by sensitive people, even in high dilution.
Freeze dried mangoes can easily be rehydrated in a bit of water or juice to provide a nice fruit cocktail without causing a huge spike in blood sugar.
